About the Client

The mission and vision of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is dedicated to creating adventure, conveying knowledge, conserving nature, and serving the community. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is the second-oldest zoo in the United States.

Objective

To raise awareness of the Zoo's Twiga Tented Camp Overnights—intimate, high-end, authentic adventures including encounters with African animals, behind-the-scenes tours, comfortable cots in safari tents and more.

Strategy

We ran promotional announcements using on-air talents Mollie Watson and Natalie Jones to register listeners for a Twiga Girls Night Out experience at the Zoo. Listeners were driven online to Q102’s website through on-air promotional announcements and engagement on our social platforms (both Facebook and Instagram), showcasing behind the scenes sneak peeks. If listeners wanted to purchase tickets to the event, they could do so at a discounted rate.  Those limited tickets sold out quickly.

 

What we delivered

We had over 350 people register to win tickets to the event, and we significantly increased awareness for the Zoo’s Education Department.

Platinum Marketing Group values the partnership with Q102 for our client The Cincinnati Zoo. Q102 goes over and above for large events and promotions throughout the year but also for additional request that we bring them for smaller promotions. Most recently we partnered with Q102 to generate awareness for The Zoo’s Education department to promote Adult only Twiga Tented Camp Overnights. Q102 executed a Girls Night Out promotion that was a huge success, with over 353 entries and a sold-out event for the Zoo. Through online, on air and social promotion, Q102 brought great awareness for The Zoo’s Adult Twiga Tented Camp Overnights.
